Michael is an award winning vocalist and songwriter and no stranger to the music of David Bowie. Discovering his first LP as a young teen, Michael went on to perform Bowie’s songs in high school bands while releasing an indie LP with cult success Strobic Axe. He left the band to busk across the country and upon returning to Toronto, formed pop sensations EyeEye and won that year’s Q107 Homegrown Contest. He also staged a short lived musical “ChangesAllBowie.” In 1984 he left the road to raise a family, start a business and write and record his own music. He received a FACTOR New Talent Award, topped some internet charts and worked with the likes of producer Greg Wells (Adele, Elton John, Celine Dion) who quipped “One of the most talented vocalists I’ve worked with.” Decades later, and after wearing so many hats, Michael has returned to the stage, to give tribute to the artist that shaped his life…

Fun Facts: Michael was founder/publisher of one of Canada’s oldest alternative entertainment tabloids; The Wire Megazine. He’s also been a candidate in two federal elections, and a longtime community activist.
